Self Tapping Screw Gauge to Metric Chart
We’ve covered what are self tapping screws in a previous blog post. But if you’ve wondered what the measurements on them are all about, here’s a handy table to convert a self tapping screw from the UK imperial Gauge measurements (g) to metric Millimeter (mm.)
These measurements in millimeters are the taken from across width of the screw thread. Conveniently, this is generally close to half the listed gauge.
